Western Gun Cabinet

Made with rustic knotty alder this gun cabinet/show case is perfect for scaring away the unwanted suitors of a teenage daughter. The storefront top complete with inlaid 3D pistols, the barn door style sides, and revolver cylinder door front give an unmistakable and unique western motif.

Note the rotary rifle and pistol racks.

The cylinder door swings out and the pistol chamber-like rotary rack holds up to five handguns.

Heirloom Crib

This beautiful crib is airy, open, and yet solid enough to outlast 2012's December catastrophy, no matter what the Mayans foresaw. A strong country look made elegant with a tall headboard will suit any nursery.

Jewelry Boxes

Both of these jewelry boxes are a mix of walnut and maple. The one with the inlaid rose was a birthday gift, while the frog box (inlaid, raised, and handcarved for a 3D look) was a Mother's Day gift. A girl can never have too many boxes...

Traditional Elegance

Skinnier stiles and rails gave this piece a more elegant look. The raised panels are beautiful enough that they have stayed in style for hundreds of years and thus earned the description, traditional. The gentle curve on the front not only mirrors the one on the back providing an aesthetically pleasing look, but makes laying down and picking up an infant a simpler task. This crib is made of Knotty Alder stained to a warm dark brown.

Chess Lovers Living Room Set

This table is clear oak with a raised, inlaid maple and walnut checkerboard. The legs are turned and shaped as pawns (Who else would we give the menial task of baring the weight of our TV dinners and Dr Peppers?). The corner table is an inlaid geometrical mix of all three species used in the coffee table.

The Bisquit and Gravy Crib

My wife, Annie, wanted an amishish (I'm good at making up words) country styled crib that was strait forward in design. I decided something made out of red oak and that was a little more sturdy would work great. The posts are bigger and the slats are wider. This, combined with the bead board panels provided exactly what she had envisioned.

The Throne

The most recent effort. At the lumber store I handed my ticket to the fork lift driver, a burly man with a prodigious goatee and a plethora of tattoos covering his calves. The guy saw that we wanted a healthy amount of walnut and asked what we were doing. We told him and he said, "That ain't a crib, its a throne." Baby Maddux is cuter than this crib, but if there is a throne out there that comes close, it is this one. The bulk of this six sided piece is dark walnut. We went with a sunrise theme with the moon and some stars in the side panels. The sunrise on the front is made of alternating cherry and maple slats. The sun, moon, and stars (also maple and cherry) are inlaid into the back three walnut panels. If ever there were a throne fit for an infant prince, it is this one.
